I don't really blame Chris Massoglia.I just want to know where were the casting directors. It's so obvious he wasn't up for a main character role,so why did they give it to him?

I read the first 3 books and I'm currently reading the 4th. It's a good series once you get into it. I would've seen it opening day, but I'm seeing it on Halloween, because I have nothing better to do

A trilogy of twelve books? Well, they are very short books! The Un-Cola guy is in this? Cool!

I read the first few books when I was in elementary school. They were alright. Still not going to see the movie; neither are too many others.

Man, I totally forgot about that, but I do own the first two books of those! From what I got from this review they're keeping the spider plot to a minimum, which I think is a smart decision (the damn spider takes up most of the first book with just being a spider and being described as such in great detail). Even in the books, the part with the freaks was a lot more interesting than what's going on besides that.

Reilly and Salma Hayek...even with that beard, im sure she is hott and now im curious lol. thanks guys.

Since these guys havent read the books, well i've onl read the first but still there was much more darker content in the books than in the film from your description. Either way i have read the book but i'm not the type of person who will boycott a movie if they leave out a few details or soften it up a bit for more audience members but it sounds entertaining and i think ill have to check it out . once i finish all the other books of course.

the books weren't fucking family friendly! it was dark, suspenseful and fucking well written. the movie is an insult to the books. all the plot twists that were set throughout the 12 books were ruined in the first bits of this movie. john c Riely and the guy who played Mr tiny were the only good actors in this movie. this was way to kiddy and should have been no jokes. they did fucking hold back. the book had a scene were a kid was being eaten by a wolfman, and Darren has to save a bit of his soul by drinking his blood dry! i hate what they've done with this series

I'm just glad John C. Reilly isn't playing a second banana. Also, Selma Hayek as bearded lady...doesn't slow me down for a moment.
