The animation was amazing but, the ghosts were really creepy; I was sooooo annoyed by the ghost of christmas past and how it was talking and hated how the ghost of chritmas present kept laughing for no reason, it looked amazing in 3D though

You can't say the animation is bad! it is Motion Capture ! in 3D! In 3D even motion Capture to make it look less animated and still look real movements need to be exaggerated.

Ghost of bob marley LMFAO! HAHA, yea this was a awesome christmas movie! Def full price in 3D, and corey feels like the ghost of christmas yet to come parts didnt make him fearful, they honestly were pretty freaky, even for my age and did make me fearful for scrooge, expecially when the ghost showed him his grave, and the fate of tiny tim. Yea those parts were still good, not as good as the Alastair simm version, but still very well done

Alastair Sims for life. ALSO! For those interested, there is an alternate movie called The Ghosts of Dickens Past, which is a story about how Dickens actually came up with the idea for A Christmas Carol. It's kind of a dark movie, but well worth watching if you ever get a chance.

A well-done film. I still prefer George C. Scott's performance, but that's not to take anything from this film. The performances were great along with the animation. I'd say 'better than sex' for Christmas' sake, but I can't argue with full price either. A good film and a good review.

I just watched this today in 3D. Without the 3D I would not have enjoyed it as much. Full Price.

My favorite part of the book is when Marley's jaw unhinges and falls out of his face... Is that done here as well?

Whoa dudes. I agree. Full Price (Which means extra bucks for the 3D). This is one of the best things I have seen (ok, heard) Jim Carrey do in a long time. Much more even and controled performance (yeah, the laughter part with Christmas present got old quick but). It is wonderful to look at. The city of London is F'n amazing. One point about 3D I figured out. During the 'darker" scenes, they should turn up the scene lighting a couple of notches to compensate for the darker 3D shades. The whole thing is computer generated so it should be easy and to make a difference between regular versions and the 3D versions. There were some good scary scenes and on the whole, I thought this was one of the more faithful adaptions of the story. I for one like the whole "Motion Capture" CG stuff. yes it is a work in progress, But it is simply a new medium, a new art form. Variety is the point of self-expression. One otehr thing: I agree that gary Oldman looked like a HOBBIT! In fact, I now cast my vote for him to play Bilbo Baggins in Jackson's Hobbit when it starts filming.

Having CGI-actors actually has some benefits. The mindset of the audience is set to "CGI"-mode, meaning they won't get distracted with complaints like , "looks fake, too much CGI etc." On top of that it's fun to see how they altered Jim Carry's face, but retained his acting-flair.

Just came back from watching it. I can't believe you guys didn't mention that this was an umbelievably scary flick! Seriously, I went with a bunch of friends between 18 and 22, boys and girls, and we were unanimous as that was really really dark and scary. And i'm not just talking about the part with the ghost of future, I mean the whole film. I appreciate it and would give it a high Matinee, but that's anything BUT a family movie. I would have been traumatized if I seen this as a kid. Seriously :P

>Mickey's Christmas Carol was probably my favorite interpretation of Dickens' story! My mom said I would watch it 3-4 times in a row during the holiday season. I'm a sucker for these types of movies, and I'm glad it got the FULL PRICE! Spill seal of approval. I'm definitely checking it out!

Why do I have a feeling that when this movie comes up on the next ACOCO, Carlyle will talk about how much he hates it? He seems to disagree with a lot of the reviews he doesn't show up for.

I want to see this movie so god damn badly! I'm going to it either tonight or sometime tommorow afternoon. I went to "The Christmas Carol" play last Christmas in Edmonton (Alberta, Canada) & I think it would be great to go see this film this year. The only thing i don't understand is why Disney decided to release it this month & not next month, when it's closer to Christmas. Also to B.Bally I remember watching "Mickey's Christmas Carol" when I was little, but I still like the old black & white Christmas carol movie from the 50's (or earlier), but i'm going to give this movie a shot because it look's fuck'n awesome!

Looks like a full priced rental to me. I don't know I just don't care for over-animated films.
