I really like T. Perry's stuff, I think he has a very cool writing style and his plays are very cool to watch as well. If you like Tyler you should check them out on DVD. I'm not too much of a religious guy so when they get to those "jesus parts" it gets a little slow for me. I wish there was a film of nothing but Madea though, that would be the shit! PS: This review was hilarious! Jesus & Madea LOL!

i thought tyler perry did a good job this time it was very entertaining at times, taraji p henson was fantastic,i wanted to fuck adam rodreiguez the whole movie and the songs were good. i agree when you said the movie is too long and the singing/church scenes were either too long or unnecessary.but overall it's one of my fav movies of 2009.don't know why but it is.

Honestly, I saw this and felt it was the best out of the three Tyler Perry movies I have seen, the other two being Diary of a mad black woman and Medea's family reunion. It's for a simple reason too, I never found the women in the other two movies worth relating to at ALL. Boo who, these girls were rich and now they don't have money. Who gives a shit. At least in this movie everyone is struggling, even if Jesus is their only scapegoat. I feel the prayer actually WORKS in this film versus the others, seeing as the people in this movie actually (and desperately) needed help or guidance. -shrug- I still would give this a rental because yes, the run-shit concept still does apply. The sermons go on for about 10 minutes which is really un-necessary.
