My favorite Marvel Comics movie next to Spiderman 2. Robert Downey Jr. was perfect as Tony Stark. Every actor was awesome and when was the last time we've seen Gwyenth Paltrow in a movie? Action scenes were incredible and story was the way Iron Man is told. I'd say better than sex.

I'm with the Spill team on this. With so many disapointing super hero movies, it is great to finally see one that delivers, and this one really does. Although the end fight might be a bit over the top, it is very entertaining. Unfortunately other hero movies that have been the rave: Spiderman, where the effects made him look more like rubberman, and The Dark Knight, where the first hour just dragged on, this was even and a joy. I'd have to say it was better than the comic book, which was not really my favorite. Definately Full Price.

You know I will have to stray from the herd a bit here and give this film a low matinee/high rental, I felt it looked awsome, RDJ was perfectly cast, special effects were good, but I felt that it didn't bring anything new to the table as far a superhero movies are concerned, it has some good ideas but it doesn't execute them that well and abouit 2/3 rds of the movie was good then it just felt like they couldn't be bothered with it anymore and decided to give up at the end of the movie, to it becoming transformers, plus I thought Gwyneth Paltrow just came across as completley annoying and useless in the film, I think the film is good, but not as good as everyone makes out

The best looking movie ina long time I thought, I was sad taking my little borhter to it tho, im 21, hes 4, weird I know, but he didn't even know who iron man was, his generation won't have much for comics, the days of comic stores in every town have gone away, sucks, feel so bad for the guy, the whole time he w as asking how i knew so much about iron man if i hadn't seen the movie before, it was sad

"Jebidiah, Obidiah, Ebenezzer Scrooge..." Robert Downey Jr. was great, but it moved kind of slow at times and there's only a couple scenes that actually have Stark as Iron Man. I'd have to go with a high Matinee. Now that we have the origin stuff out of the way I'm betting the sequel will be even better.
