i heard this movie wasnt very good....how many times is george gonna do this to us? maybe kids like it, but the original star wars was intended for sort of an older audience

just like he did for empire and jedi, lucas should have let other GOOD and competent directors do episodes 1-2-3. instead, his overblown ego couldn't let go. star wars (ep 4) was a good action, shoot-em-up movie. but starwars became a "mythology" with empire (episode 5), and to this day he still doesn't realize that. speaking of "glow-in-the-dark" sticks, that one scene from the movie "skin deep" (with john ritter) is probably one of the funniest scenes i've ever seen in a movie.

Really........I can't see why any adult would really >want to watch this (unless you have kids that make you sit down to watch). But man, Korey's got a point about R2!! Too funny.

Heh guess Lucas finally finalized his dream of making an all out CGI movie, or should I say episodes in succession being passed off as a movie. Its almost blatantly obvious its just a pilot show for the new series which is markedet at kids, so yeah I agree with Korey its for the kids. I still believe that George Lucas should have a restraining order on him so he cant come within 100ft of any computers. So rental from me but very close to some old bull.

This Movie Is pretty bad compared to Star Wars Movies, and Yes!! Wtf was with the animation? For Some reason I liked it though, I give it a Very Low Matinee.

BTW...on the movie itself, i'll give it a rental. It was to mediocre to be a threatre release, and seems more straight-to-DVD, imo.

Why haven't Lucas made movies out of the Expanded Universe novels like "Shadows of the Empire" or the subsequent trilogy that takes place after the first trilogy? Are we going to see Clone Wars being told over and over and over again?

The Clone Wars follows the same formula of the previous Star Wars movies with full of action, adventure and some funny moments but I didn't feel the same intensity and power the saga is characterized of having. The plot is interesting although I found some flaws in it. The animation is good but not great, some characters like Yoda and Ahsoka are good but Anakin and Obi-Wan are kinda square shaped. I like the music, in general it's good but I think that some songs don't fit completely on the Star Wars concept. The voices are convincing enough but I think that they would be better if they were the voices from the original actors like in the case of Samuel L. Jackson, Anthony Daniels and Christopher Lee. Also I would like that there would be a longer participation of Master Yoda and Mace Windu in the movie. In conclusion, this is basically a Star Wars movie for the young fans of the saga that the older ones might enjoy.

i think it was yoda inside r2 all the time , for a droid that looks like a butt plug he's the only one who does shit in most of the films, although i prefer the blue harvest version.

I disagree with the idea that it was crap. Because somehow I feel that there is a rythum to the madness that connects with some and repells others. I loved BatMan by Tim Burton when I saw it in the late 80's (I think). But I rented it recently and it was like looking at my highschool yearbook picture. UGHH!!

My 7 year old drooled all over this thing that seems to be for the newer generation of ADHD enhanced super brains, who's idea of chilling out is Neurologically Enhanced Full On Trance. As for me I got everything just fine...I just wasn't that interested... When we got home at the end of the day I was a 150 bucks poorer after a stop by the local toy depo. My wife got a Ventress Costume for Halloween, and I got the little one a clone wars MP3 Player, the wall calendar, the wall clock, the watch, and a truck load of pocket model sets to boot. I give up... In defining childrens entertainment for the future of mutants now coming up (whether they look human, or come from my seed and her womb or not), its a success. Especially for the ever increaing number of our young ones who need speed (not the drug). I left the theater with question bouncing around my head... What would it be like if George Lucas did buisiness with Pixar? best Burt

George lucas has vision, but he cannot direct. After American Graffiti and the original Star Wars, he just lost it.

Oh man, I can't believe that George Lucas, the man who inspired a generation and kept setting new standards in special effects and CG would turn out this giant piece of crap with extra steam on the side. When I first saw the poster I thought it was going to be a bigger version of the Cartoon Network episodes, but when I saw that it was 3d CG, I shook my head. Just looking at it makes me believe that George Lucas is doing nothing more than cashing in on the generation that made him rich. Shame on you George.
