One of the rare movies where everyone (not just the Spill Crew) agrees that it was a great movie. I honestly think that this is the best musicals that has been produced in a long time (even better than "Hairspray"). I really wish the movie had won the Oscar; at least they recognized Jennifer Hudson's talent in the movie. Beyonce Knowles seemed to play herself in this movie (i.e. she broke up "Destiny's Child to start her own solo singing career). Eddie Murphy was a shock to me as well because we are so used to him playing the annoying Chris Tucker like character. I honestly think he could have gotten an Oscar for his role if it was not for that big stinker called "Norbit" (which should have been sent to the bottomless pit of the discount bins, my mistake that would be an insult to the rest of the movies in the discount bin).

Amazing music and plot, just wish the ending song was as great as "And I told You"
