I don't really agree that the fact that in a month she's attacked two more time as a flaw, because I think that's the mood Neil Jordan was trying to develop. She's a victim, but overall she crosses the edge of innocence to enter the street of revenge. I guess the only way to show that was through attacks like those. I think this picture is sucessful, and jodie foster is better than ever.

I just saw the film, Foster and Howard were great; I didn't see them as the actor but the characters. I wonder if they shot the ending differently because I was expecting Mercer to be killed and to turn all the murders on him? Really powerful story, great layering by the writers. I did feel as if it was missing something. Like the film was dulled down a bit. It straddled the fence as far as a serious or overly dramatic film. I would have liked it to do darker, less cliché lines, and more real. Cinematography was great, from the credits, to the end. I give it full price, just make sure there are not a whole bunch of women in the theater because they will cheer EVERY time Erica kills some dude... Trust me...EVERY TIME!
